Carpet Cleaners E5 Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps taken by Carpet Cleaners E5 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business relationships and to implementing effective systems and controls to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place anywhere in our business or among our suppliers.
Modern slavery includes slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, and human trafficking. Carpet Cleaners E5 recognises that these abuses can occur in any sector and any country, and we are determined to ensure that our activities do not contribute to such practices.
Zero-Tolerance Policy
Carpet Cleaners E5 operates a strict zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and human trafficking. We will not knowingly conduct business with any organisation or individual involved in, or connected to, modern slavery. This policy applies to all employees, agency workers, contractors, and suppliers engaged in providing goods or services to Carpet Cleaners E5.
All staff are expected to uphold this policy in their day-to-day work. Any breach of our zero-tolerance stance by employees may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. For suppliers and contractors, breach of this policy may result in suspension or termination of contracts and the immediate cessation of business relationships.
Supplier Standards and Audits
Our supply chain includes providers of cleaning products, machinery, maintenance, and related services. We expect all suppliers to share our commitment to human rights and fair labour practices. As part of our procurement process, we assess the modern slavery risks associated with potential and existing suppliers.
Carpet Cleaners E5 is developing and implementing supplier audits that review labour practices, working conditions, and the use of recruitment agencies or subcontractors. Where risks are identified, we will engage with suppliers to obtain clarification, require corrective actions, or, where necessary, end the commercial relationship.
We seek written confirmation from key suppliers that they comply with relevant labour laws and do not engage in any form of forced, bonded, or child labour. We will continue to strengthen these due diligence processes over time to improve transparency and accountability throughout our supply chain.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Carpet Cleaners E5 encourages anyone with concerns about modern slavery or human trafficking related to our business or supply chain to speak up. We provide internal reporting channels that allow employees to raise issues confidentially with management. Concerns may relate to working conditions, recruitment practices, suspicious behaviour by third parties, or any indication that someone may be subject to coercion or exploitation.
We also encourage suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to report suspected instances of modern slavery involving any part of our operations or supply chain. All reports will be taken seriously, investigated promptly, and handled with sensitivity. No person will suffer detrimental treatment for raising a concern in good faith, even if it is not ultimately substantiated.
Training and Awareness
To support our zero-tolerance approach, Carpet Cleaners E5 is committed to raising awareness about modern slavery among our staff. Appropriate training and guidance will be provided to employees, particularly those involved in recruitment, procurement, and supplier management, so that they can identify potential warning signs and respond correctly.
We will keep our training materials and guidance under review to ensure they remain relevant, practical, and in line with evolving best practice and legal requirements.
Annual Review and Continuous Improvement
This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed annually by the management of Carpet Cleaners E5. The review will consider any incidents reported, findings from supplier audits, changes in legislation, and feedback from employees and stakeholders. Where improvements are identified, we will update our policies, procedures, and training accordingly.
By reviewing and enhancing our approach each year, Carpet Cleaners E5 aims to continually strengthen our defences against modern slavery and human trafficking and to promote ethical, fair, and safe working practices across all aspects of our business and supply chains.
This statement has been approved by the management of Carpet Cleaners E5 and represents our ongoing commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.
